From its initial construction in the Middle Ages, to its controversial 19th century restoration by Viollet-le-Duc, and finally its current 21st century reconstruction following the fire in April 2019, Notre Dame de Paris has always been one of the most debated and emblematic sacred sites in Europe.
Just a few months before it reopens to the public, we take a look at the history of this monument, from its birth to the present day.
Event organised and hosted by the network of the Alliances Françaises in the UK.
