A heartbreaking story of friendship and devastating loss, concerning two boys, living in Nazi occupied France. At a provincial Catholic boarding school, the precocious youths enjoy true camaraderie, until a secret is revealed! Based on events from the writer/ director Louis Malle’s own childhood, the film is a tale of courage, cowardice and tragic awakening.
This film is offered in French with English subtitles.
Tickets can be booked in advance for individual films at £4 plus booking fee but a limited number of tickets will be available to purchase on the door at £5 per film (cash only). Please note that Alliance Française de Manchester members are entitled to two tickets for the price of one upon production of a membership card at the door.
